Ugly feet? We can help!

Whether you have nail fungus, a painful bunion, or diabetic peripheral neuropathy we have the solutions.

Nail Fungus

Toenail fungus, known by physicians as Onychomycosis, affects about half of Americans by the age of 70. Fungal infections occur when microscopic fungi gain entry through a small trauma in the nail, then grow and spread in the warm, moist environment inside the patient's socks and shoes. Symptoms of toenail fungus include:

  • swelling
  • yellowing of the nail
  • thickening of the nail
  • crumbling of the nail
  • streaks or spots down the side of the nail
  • even complete loss of the nail.

At Compounding Solutions we offer many treatments for nail fungus. These include several preparations that are painted onto the affected nail(s) like nail polish. The benefit to using a topical fungal preparation is that it the medication does not have to be processed by the liver. So you avoid the cost of liver enzyme tests.

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

The areas of the body most commonly affected by diabetic peripheral neuropathy are the feet and legs. Nerve damage in the feet can result in a loss of foot sensation, increasing your risk of foot problems. Symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy may include:

  • Tingling
  • Numbness (severe or long-term numbness can become permanent)
  • Burning (especially in the evening)
  • Pain

For diabetic neuropathy we have topical preparations that draw blood to the area and help diminish the effects of pain. These include combinations of the following:

  • Ketamine
  • Ketoprofen
  • Bupivicaine
  • Lidocaine
  • Nifedipine

Please contact your physician if you feel that you have any of the above symptoms. Together we can tailor something to fit your needs.
